Hunter St, Auchterarder

The relationship between Alma Cottage, Hunter St and its garden was piecemeal.  The extension links the house to the garden forming a split level kitchen and family room with easy circulation to all habitable rooms.  Graham asked for an orangery style space and the introduction of plenty of natural light creates a well lit and functional new family hub for the house.  The gable ended bay extends over the room creating this top lit axis linking the house and garden and framing the view.  Underfloor heating and an inset stove provide warmth.
