Do you do drawnigns ?
I am often asked if ‘I do drawings’? The answer is, of course, YES. Drawings are the way in which Architects and other suitably qualified construction professionals communicate their design ideas and how that design idea should be built. The success of a project both in terms of the design, cost and build is affected by the quality and content of the drawings and project specifications. The poorer or less informative the drawings and specifications, the bigger the risk on a successful outcome. The better detailed the drawings and specifications are, the clearer the design is communicated and so the greater the chance of a successful outcome. In the same way people say ‘you are what you eat’ you definitely ‘get what you paid for’ when it comes to the care and detail taken in the preparation of your design, drawings and specifications.
